مسجد جامع عباسی اصفهان یا مسجد شاه
ساخت این مسجد که در ضلع جنوبی میدان نقش جهان قرار دارد در سال 1020 هجری به فرمان شاه عباس بزرگ، در بیست و چهارمین سال سلطنت وی شروع شده و تزئینات و الحاقات آن در دوره جانشینان او به اتمام رسید. شاه عباس مسجد را برای شادی روح جدش، شاه طهماسب بنا نمود
ارتفاع گنبد عظیم مسجد شاه 52 متر و قطر ان 23.5 متر است. تزیینات عمده این مسجد از کاشی‌های خشت هفت رنگ است.
طراحی کاشی‌های سقف و زیر گنبد عظیم مسجد شاه اصفهان را رضا عباسی، استاد به نام خطاطی و مینیاتور در دوره شاه عباس خلق کرده‌است.
Isfahan Abbasi Grand Mosque or Shah Mosque

The construction of this mosque, which is located on the south side of Naghsh Jahan Square, began in 1020 AH by the order of Shah Abbas the Great, in the twenty-fourth year of his reign, and its decorations and additions were completed during the reign of his successors. Shah Abbas built the mosque for the joy of the spirit of his ancestor, Shah Tahmasb The height of the huge dome of Shah Mosque is 52 meters and its diameter is 23.5 meters. The main decoration of this mosque is made of seven-color clay tiles. The design of the tiles on the roof and under the huge dome of the Shah Mosque in Isfahan was created by Reza Abbasi, a master of calligraphy and miniature during the reign of Shah Abbas.
